  1. THIS MAY BE A DUPLICATE REQUEST, BUT HERE GOES. ON OCTOBER 1, 2012 YOU POSTED 5 OPI NAIL COLOR BOTTLES FOR A WARM SKIN TONE. I LOVE THE COLORS OF THE 5 POLISHES, BUT NO NAMES ARE NOTED. PLEASE PROVIDE COLOR NAMES FOR THE 5 COLORS, AS I’D LIKE TO PURCHASE.

  2. I seem to have been told I am neutral and can wear either. When I look at colours I see that I think there are some in each that flatter my complexion etc. However I do think maybe lean cool. I am very fair and pale, how do I figure this out? When it comes to eyeshadow eye colour plays a big role as well so how do I know?

    • Dear, Kathy.

I am glad you wrote. Thank you for your question. Your skin tone or the tone under your thin skin surface is the most important factor in determining your best colors to wear. Start with your skin tone, but pay close attention to your natural hair color and your eye color as well. Keep in mind that the skin tone you were born with will never change but will fade away with age. As you get older, you will need to use softer or more delicate colors from the same personal color wheel.

There are a number of ways to determine your complexion. You will need to stand next to natural light (bright sunlight is the best) or under incandescent light. Pull your hair back and remove all make up from your face. Take either white paper, white towel, or gold and silver swatches and hold them under your face or under your wrist (to see your palm). Do you see a yellow/peach/orange cast or blue-pink undertones?

Once you determine your skin tone, do not forget your eye color and your hair color. Do you have white flecks or golden flecks in your iris? Is there a gray-rimmed edge around your iris? Cool complexions have white flecks or gray rimmed edges. Is your natural hair ash brown or golden brown?

Is your overall coloring soft, light and low intensity? Cool complexions have soft, light and low intensity coloring between their hair, eyes and skin.

You can wear any color. However, the question is which color looks THE BEST on you. Your best colors harmonize with your natural coloring to make you look radiant, younger, healthier, and refreshed. Wrong colors make you look older, sallow, pale, discolored, or tired.

      Hope this helps.

      Best,

      From Best Colors.
